LST or low stress training can help increase your yield, while lowering the profile of your plant (keeping it short.) By tying down the main shoot of your plant you expose the lower nodes of the plant to more light, which will in turn create further growth from those nodes. It is referred to as “low stress” because it causes literally no damage to the plant tissues, and the plant will immediately turn it’s top back towards the light.
Here is a video showing a first tie down, repeat this over and over as your plant grows. Some growers like to force the main shoot to circle along the whole circumference of the pot.
